And we are so happy to have Scrapbook Fantasies as another permanent sponsor. Scrapbook Fantasies is donating a prize of beautiful embellishments each week to our Star Witness.  Scrapbook Fantasies is a Scrapbooking, Papercrafts and Mixed Media business opened in November 2002 in Gladstone, Queensland.  The well stocked store receives new stock daily, and supports a boutique style online store here.  The owner Alicia Redshaw runs Weekly Challenges and many other competitions giving away over $250 dollars in store vouchers every month.  The Gallery  hosts thousands of customer creations, and is available for viewing without login. Parcels are posted within Australia at a flat $6.50 or the actual postage rate (whichever is the lesser), or FREE for orders over $100.  International parcels are posted at the actual postage rate.

Here's my layout..
The Color Scheme : Bright Colar, Yellow Green, Warm Gray, White and Tan.
The Evidence : Text Print, Leaves, Flowers, Stamps, Mix Media Background, Cursive Fonts and Triangles.
The Testimony: I used Prompt Idea - one little word I chose pray, and Inspiration Word : grow.
It said,"I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding."

This layout is a mix between my journal page 'Spring' and my mix media layout 'I Wish You Enough'. I started with a plain white background to create my own background. I did a lot of gesso for a start. Then I applied a good mount of crackle paint transparent from Viva Decor where I wanted for my ground to be. I sprayed my ground with a mix of Dylusions Ink Spray - Black Marble & Squeezed Orange and Ranger Ink - Wild Honey to create this brown tan look on my paper. Once dried, I stamped Kaisercraft - Triangles around the pages. I drawn some thin line for my sketch for making a tree branch. Then I used a hot glue gun to create a branch following the line I've already made.
While waiting for the branch to dry out, I stamped a lot of leaves, again I redrew the line to make more real and used my Caran Dache watercolor pencils to create a two tone colors of green and hand cut them. I did the same with the flowers. I painted the branch with Lumiere Acrylic Paint - Metallic Rust.
I cut my photo glued them on the centre of my layout, glued all the flowers and my leaves and voila! I finished it. Except then at last I have to write down the journal on top of my page. Hope you all like what I did, and thank you for stopping by to see what I've created.
Hugs, Merry

Thank You - Sketchabilities Sketch No.133

Hi everyone,
how are you this time? In case you haven't follow me from the last post, I would like to make something different. I'd like to encourage people and myself with some nice words, as sometimes I need it as well. So, here's one for you and me,"Train yourself to find the blessing in everything." Hope you like it. And here's the Sketchabilities with Sketch No.133
 We are excited to have
13@rts here with us as a Premium Sponsor in 2015.

13@rts is a Polish manufacturer of mixed media art products and thick and originally designed scrapbooking papers, stencils and variety of embellishments. It was created by Aida Domisiewicz a.k.a. Ayeeda 2,5 years ago. The company is developing fast and is already widely known in different countries all over the world.
Our clients praise 13@rts goods for their great quality and very good prices. We are innovative and we’re introducing new products and techniques into mixed media art. We were the first company in the scrapbooking industry, which put together under one brand all basic mixed media products including sprays, inks, water and acrylic paints, acrylic mediums, glass beads, microbeads, glitters and papers. We constantly work on new products, so there is more to come from us soon.

13@rts is offering up a package of scrapbook goodies to one random scrapper who links up by Feb 26!

Here's my layout...

I started to love white paper more nowadays, hope you don't mind about it. Well, off me go gesso-ing my paper. Once it dried, I used the stencil from Balzer Design - Mini Leaf Frame where I will put my photos. I used smaller photos this time as I want to stress more the embellishment and layers. Plus, I had this inspiration from Finnabair having her layout using a smaller photo as well, so I thought I gave it a try (and I love how it turned up). I used new sprays that I've got from last year from Lindy's Stamp Gang - Cape Cod Coral, Clam Bake Beige, Bodacious Blush and love the results. Put all the embellishments and chipboards together, did all the gesso with all of them and then sprayed some more of the sprays to match the background colors.
The embellishments that I used are filigree, resins, our chipboards and microbeads from 13@rts.
A little trick for you who wondering how to blend all the embellishment more closely to the background, I always did extra brushing around the sides with my brush(small to medium brush).
I would like to join this layout for Pixels and Papers Challenge Blog with the picture below...
I got inspired using the color pink I guess, to describe how my love is...
and The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge with the theme "Think Pink"

Thank you Pixels and Papers Challenge Blog and The Mix Media Monthly Challenge for the challenge and thank you for stopping by to leave your lovely comment. Hugs, Merry

Family - CSI Case File No.155

Hey everyone,
how are you all this time? I'm great by the way. Today's word is "There's come a time when you have to choose between turning the page and closing the book." And here's come another case file from CSI (Color, Stories, Inspiration) with Case File No.155

And my layout for that...
The Color Scheme : Seafoam Green, Lavender, White, Light Sky Blue and Light Taupe.
The Evidence : Birds, Circle, Grid Design, Pen Work and Stamps.
The Testimony : I used Inspiration Word: Family.
It said,"Being a Family means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life no matter what."
I used the paper from S.E.I - A Fair Day Collection. I used smaller photos to work with to match the sketch. I created layers so that I could put my photos in the middle. I used banners from Heidi Swapp. Since its transparent and I couldn't see the blue color, I colored the back of it with black acrylic paint. The title family was one of our chipboard. I colored it black and rubbed Inka Gold - Violet. I stamped the left side of the paper with Creative Embellishments - Distressed Crackle.
Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you again. Cheerio!! Hugs, Merry.
